Catalogue Note

The list of subscribers states that only 4 copies in folio and with coloured plates were distributed, to Prince Joseph Bonaparte, Tsar Alexander I, the Tsarina, and the Tsar's mother. The rest of the edition was produced in quarto. There is no evidence in this copy of any of these provenances.
