Catalogue Note
This is an attractive manuscript by the celebrated Danish author. We have not seen any of his autograph poems at auction during the last decade. Andersen's poem Det Skjönne, whose first line might be rendered as "One is, one who will not pass away" was first published on 31st March 1860.
