folio (300 x 212mm.), [16] a8 a-x8.6 y-z8 A-F6.8 G-I6 K-T6.8, 299 leaves (of 300, without final blank), double column, 47 lines plus headline, Gothic letter, 3- to 7-line initials supplied in red (the first initial in red and blue, some initials with marginal extensions), some with printed guides, manuscript annotations (by Mascibianchi? see provenance), contemporary calf over wooden boards, metal centre- and cornerpieces, two clasps, inscription removed from title-page, a few leaves browned, a few marginal wormholes, marginal tear in n6, y6 torn without loss but touching text, B2 browned and friable with tear in centre of page (not affecting text), paper flaw in margin of O5, small hole in last leaf with loss of one word, lacking one cornerpiece from lower cover, lacking straps, binding somewhat soiled
