Catalogue Note
From the library of George IV; one of the most successful eighteenth-century experiments in colour printing. This is the only book illustrated by Bonnet (1736-1793), apparently the inventor of crayon-manner engraving in several colours with different plates: "gravure en maniere de pastel".
