Catalogue Note

The first edition of this book can be composed of titles and colophons with the date 1568 and 1569 in any combination. There is another variant of the first edition with an elaborate woodcut title with no date.

Some of the woodcut illustrations are taken from Francesco de' Franceschi's edition of Serlio (1566), which was dedicated to Barbaro, and another illustration is a close copy of one of Dürer's.
