Condition
Unexamined out of frame.
Sound sheet. Deckling to the top right and left hand extreme edges and signs of undulation to the sheet, most apparent in the lower left hand edge and the right hand centre edge. Along the extreme left hand edge of the sheet there appears to be the remnants of an earlier fixing tape attached to the reverse.
Pinholes are apparent in the top right and top left corners, as well as a cluster of four to the top centre, and a further to the right of the top edge. There is a tiny minor nick in the bottom right hand corner, visible upon closer inspection.
The work appears in good overall condition, with strong and bright colours throughout. There is a tiny minor area of very fine craquelure visible to the pink pigment just to the upper left of the artichoke. This is only visible upon very close inspection.
Housed behind glass in a gilt and blackened wooden frame, float-mounted against a cream mount.
