Condition

Original canvas. There is an area of craquelure in the lower left quadrant which appears to have been recently sensitively restored and retouched. There is a corresponding protective transparent patch to the reverse. There are additional minor spots of craquelure in the upper right corner and a tiny old scratch, which are only visible upon very close inspection. There is a very minor surface abrasion to the upper left corner, where the canvas pulls over the stretcher, but otherwise the work is in good condition. Ultraviolet light reveals two extremely minor flecks of retouching; one in the upper right corner, and one to the aforementioned patch lower left. Held in a simple metal slip frame.
