There is a surface scratch to the moon and a further scratch to the sky just below this and near the upper left corner. There is some old flaking to the ink in the centre of the composition with resultant paint loss, but the surface is now stable. There is a gold media mark upper centre but there are no visible signs of fading or foxing. Held under glass in a painted wood frame with a stained linen mount.
