Condition
The illustration of the catalogue is accurate.
Good overall condition despite the inevitable scratches and marks throughout.
As stated in the catalogue description, the gilt bronze mounts may be later.
The varnish of the mounts is tarnished.
The front side is sunbleached but you can get back more vivid colours if the varnish is stripped off.
The veneer is flaking on the frieze and there are some liftings to the frieze.
The leather of the top is later and slightly scratched.
