Condition
Overall the condition of the plaster is good. There is wear and dirt to the surface throughout consistent with age and handling, with rubbing to the patina throughout. There are a few minor nicks and chips, particularly to the edges of the base.

Catalogue Note
Joseph Vaudremer (1829-1914), architecte français et auteur d'un grand nombre de bâtiments publics à Paris, tels l'église Notre-Dame d'Auteuil, ou encore le lycée Molière. Il reçut le Grand Prix de Rome d'architecture en 1854, alors que son ami Carpeaux obtenait celui de la sculpture.
