Designed as a dragonfly set with ten oval-shaped demantoid garnets weighing approximately 2.50 carats, centered by a cultured pearl measuring approximately 6.5 mm, the wings accented by four natural pearls measuring approximately 5.6 to 5.3 mm and two round sapphires, further set with old European-cut diamonds weighing approximately 2.85 carats and two round ruby eyes, numbered 5081, fitted with pendant loop; circa 1900.
Condition
In good condition. The dematoid garnets are a bright medium yellowish green and lightly included but heavily abraded. The pearls are button-shaped, silvery white with soft rose and green overtones and good luster, two of the pearls with slightly wrinkled skins. The diamonds are approximately G-J color, SI-I clarity. The sapphires are medium violetish blue and the rubies are medium purplish red, moderately to heavily included. Accompanied by GIA report no. 1152036237 stating that one of the pearls is bead cultured, and four of the remaining pearls are natural, saltwater.
