The necklace of swag design set with 47 round and four oval-shaped rubies weighing approximately 53.25 carats, accented by round and marquise-shaped diamonds weighing approximately 16.25 carats, length 16 inches; the earrings of similar design, set with two oval-shaped rubies weighing approximately 4.00 carats, framed and suspended by round and marquise-shaped diamonds weighing approximately 5.00 carats.

Condition

NECKLACE: In good condition. The rubies range from a medium deep purplish red to a medium-light slightly pinkish red, moderately to heavily included, with several examples exhibiting surface-reaching inclusions or cavities. Some of the rubies show chipping to the girdle and abrading to the facet junctions, though not apparent when worn. The diamonds are approximately G-I color, predominantly VS clarity with several VVS and SI examples. Flexible, fitted with a safety closure. EARRINGS: In good condition. The rubies are a medium-deep purplish red, heavily included with both showing surface-reaching inclusions and chipping to the girdles. The diamonds are approximately G-H color, VS-SI clarity. With a maker's mark on the earring backs.
