The pendant centered by a carved jade plaque of openwork design depicting a perched bird, the necklace composed of elongated beads composed of onyx, chalcedony and coral, decorated with coral and onyx tablets as well as enamel of black and coral hues, set with old European and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 2.85 carats, length 25½ inches, signed Mauboussin-France, indistinctly numbered, with French assay and workshop marks; a 7 inch section may be removed for wear as a bracelet; circa 1930.

Condition

Overall in good condition, though the links on the bracelet portion are in poor condition. The 80 diamonds are approximately H-I color, VS-SI clarity. The coral is a light orangy pink, with some evident mottling. The icy jade is nicely carved and semi-translucent to translucent. Well-made.
