Designed as a graduating series of heart-shaped clusters, set with 33 heart-shaped emeralds weighing 164.96 carats, accented by 51 heart-shaped diamonds weighing 36.45 carats, further set with round, marquise and pear-shaped diamonds weighing 32.59 carats, internal circumference 16 inches, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered N.Y.54633.
Condition
In very good condition with very little sign of wear. The emeralds are well-matched for color, a richly saturated, medium-deep bluish green, and very nicely graduated in size. They are moderately included throughout, with a few examples showing minor surface-reaching inclusions. The color of the emeralds more closely mirrors the enhancement in the printed catalogue rather than the actual size shot. The 80 pear and marquise, 364 round and 51 heart-shaped diamonds are approximately E-H color, VVS-VS clarity. Very well made, lays nicely when worn. The suspended emeralds are numbered 1 through 8. Fitted with a safety closure. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 53223 stating that the emeralds are of Colombian origin, clarity enhancement: faint, type: mixed-type.
