Set with an oval-shaped mixed-cut emerald weighing approximately 10.50 carats, flanked by 12 old European-cut diamonds weighing approximately .15 carat, size 2.
Condition
The mounting in good condition with surface wear commensurate with age. The richly saturated, medium-deep slightly greenish blue emerald is moderately to heavily included. Significant abrasions to the girdle as well as fissures and cavities due to surface-reaching inclusions, located predominantly along the perimeter. Typical "jardin" inclusions throughout the stone. The diamonds are approximately H-I color, SI-I clarity; one diamond bearing a small chip seen under magnification. Evidence of solder underneath three prongs. Fitted with sizing spheres, causing the ring to register as a size 2, but fits an approximately size 3 1/2 to 4 finger. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 49184 stating that the emerald is of Colombian origin, clarity enhancement: insignificant, type: traditional.
