Featuring a micromosaic plaque depicting the bust of an Egyptian pharaoh, within gold surrounds decorated with granulation and wirework, suspended by a garlanded ox head, gross weight approximately 24 dwts, with maker's mark; circa 1860.

Condition

In good condition, with some visible scratching and wear on the reverse of the gold, commensurate with age. The metalwork throughout is nicely detailed, particularly with fine granulation around the portrait. The micromosiac is well executed, and shows a convincing portrait.
