Set with one button-shaped natural pearl measuring approximately 7.7 mm suspending a drop-shaped natural pearl measuring approximately 8.9 by 7.5 mm, accented by old European-cut diamonds weighing approximately 4.40 carats, further set with oval-shaped rubies weighing approximately 8.00 carats, length 17½ inches; together with extra links measuring approximately 3 inches; circa 1890. With fitted box signed Rowlands & Frazer.
Condition
In good condition. The pearls have a silvery white body color, fair luster, with very minor peeling visible on the button pearl. The rubies are a lively pink-red, lightly to moderately included. The diamonds are approximately H-J color, predominantly SI clarity. Very light and flexible, fitted with a safety chain. The extra links would have to be soldered on and are of minimal value.
