Description
- platinum, sapphire, diamond
Of Art Deco style, centered by an oval-shaped sapphire weighing approximately 4.85 carats, bordered by calibré-cut sapphires and accented by numerous old European-cut diamonds weighing approximately .50 carat, size 6.
Condition
In good condition with minor scratching to the platinum commensurate with wear. The oval-shaped sapphire is a richly saturated medium-deep blue, moderately to heavily included, yet the stone remains transparent. A few examples of reflective fingerprints seen at certain angles, but nothing significant in the heart of the stone. The calibré-cut sapphires surrounding the center stone are medium-deep slightly violetish blue, lightly included with a few small nicks not visible to the naked eye. The 32 old European-cut diamonds are approximately G-H color, VS clarity. Accompanied by SSEF report no. 60860 stating the sapphire is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating.
