The square emerald-cut emerald weighing approximately 1.60 carats, framed by round and baguette diamonds weighing approximately 1.90 carats, accented by epaulet-shaped emeralds, size 5½, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered 65106, French assay mark.
Condition
The emerald is a medium slightly bluish green color, more richly saturated than is shown in the printed catalogue, and is moderately included. Good polish. One epaulet shaped emerald is chipped but remains stable in its mounting, the other is abraded. Set with 6 round and 6 baguette diamonds approximately G-I color and VS-SI clarity, one round diamond is chipped at the girdle. In good condition overall. Signed and numbered beneath one shoulder inside the shank. Provenance: Christie's, New York, April 8, 2002, lot 139.
