The openwork mounting of quatrefoil design set in the center with an oval sapphire weighing approximately 3.95 carats, flanked by 2 old mine diamonds weighing approximately 2.25 carats, further set with old European-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.85 carats.
Condition
Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 35358 stating that the sapphire is of Kashmir origin, no gemological evidence of heat enhancement present, and AGTA report no. 98023709 stating that the sapphire is of Kashmir origin, no indications of heating. The sapphire is a bright and rich medium blue color and the clarity is very good. The diamonds are approximately H-J color and SI-I clarity. In good condition. Provenance: Christie's, New York, October 11, 2006, lot 471, Property from the Estate of Dr. Charles and Mrs Carolyn Beaird.
