Pair of natural pearl and diamond pendent earrings, 1880s

Each button-shaped natural pearl in a surround of circular-cut diamonds, suspending a natural pearl drop, capped with cushion-shaped, circular-cut and rose diamonds, screw back fittings, one rose diamond deficient.

Mounted in silver and gold. According to the SSEF report, the button pearls measure approximately 7.90 - 8.10 x 5.50 mm and 8.15 - 8.20 x 6.50 mm and the drops measure approximately 15.70 x 11.20 x 10.20 mm and 15.60 x 10.90 x 3.00 mm, they are of slightly cream body colour with rosé and green overtones, few growth marks, one pearl drop with drill hole at the bottom, overall good lustre. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 1.50 carats, on average of G-I colour and VS-I clarity, as gauged and graded in mounting. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition.
