Diamond tiara, late 19th century

Designed as interweaving branches, set with cushion-shaped, circular-cut and rose diamonds, inner circumference approximately 195mm, three leaves and three branches detachable, accompanied by brooch and ear clip fittings.

Diamonds estimated to weight a total of approximately 22.00-32.00 carats, of mixed colours and clarities, the majority ranging from I-K colour (a few L-M), and generally SI-I clarity, few minor chips and abrasions. One leaf tip damaged, girdle of bordering diamond chipped. Tiara frame may be detached from 6 individual jewels. Each ear clips stamped 585 for 14 carat gold, fitting securely when attached to leaf jewel. Brooch fitting may be attached to 5 of the detachable jewels. Fittings likely later added. Signs of normal wear and tarnish to the metal consistent with age and use. In good condition.
