Description

Designed as a butterfly, the wings set en tremblant with variously shaped diamonds, rubies, and emeralds, the body composed of a cushion-shaped sapphire, cushion-, and pear-shaped rubies, and rose diamonds, the head and antennae highlighted by similarly cut stones, brooch fitting detachable, accompanied by two additional hair pin fittings, fitted case.

Condition

Coloured stones well matched, few scratches, nicks and abrasions. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 5.50 - 6.00 carats, on average of H-J colour (few with more yellowish tint) and VS-I clarity, as gauged and graded in mounting. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use, some discolouration to the metal. Well preserved and in good condition.
