The necklace designed as seven strands of purplish seed pearls punctuated by spectacle-set brilliant-cut diamonds and cultured pearls flanked by ruby beads, the clasp set with a cultured pearl within a frame of circular-cut stones, signed Webb, each ear clip set with a cultured pearl within a frame of buff top onyx, marquise-shaped rubies and diamonds, unsigned, maker's marks.

Condition

Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece may contain rubies of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Certification of non-Burmese origin will be required before import of rubies into the US. Please see our Important Notices and contact the jewellery department for further information. Necklace: Stamped Pt 900 for platinum. Signed Webb on clasp. Rubies well matched in colour, some scratches and nicks on the surface. Pearls body colour ranging from silvery white, yellow, golden to light grey with various shaded of green and rosé overtones, pearl on clasp of dark grey body colour with lavender, green and aubergine overtones, some growth marks and blemishes, fair to good lustre. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 8.00 carats, on average of H-J colour and VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in mounting. Clasp secure, safety catch below. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition. Ear clips: Each stamped 750 for 18 carat gold and inscribed GH. Each pearl of semi-baroque form, cream body colour with light green and violet overtones, growth marks and blemishes, good to high lustre. Rubies well matched in colour, with some typical crystal inclusions, few surface reaching, few scratches, few nicks and abrasions. The onyx with visible striations from black to near colourless opaque. The diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 2.00 carats, VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in mounting. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition.
