Yellow sapphire, diamond, and cultured pearl necklace, Cartier

The oval yellow sapphire flanked by pavé-set brilliant-cut diamond link shoulders to a multi-strand torsade cultured pearl necklace and diamond clasp, length approximately 390mm, signed Cartier Paris and numbered, French assay mark.

Stamped with French assay marks and 750 for 18 carat gold. Signed Cartier Paris, maker's mark, numbered 229286. Sapphire estimated to measure approximately 18.25 x 14.90 x 11.15 mm and estimated to weigh approximately 23.20 carats, few crystal inclusions visible under close inspection, minor chips and scratches. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 5.50 - 6.00 carats, on average of G-H colour and VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in mounting. Clasp secure, safety catch below. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition.
