Condition

The mounting in good condition with light surface wear and scratching. The small emerald beads are medium to medium deep slightly bluish green, moderately to heavily included with some examples bearing chips and abrasions. The small ruby beads are medium light to medium deep purplish red, moderately to heavily included with some beads with chips and cavities. The small cultured pearls are silvery to creamy white, round to off-round, with minor to moderate blemishing, some with peeling skins, and waxy to good luster. One pearl surrounding the heart-shaped ruby with a drill hole on the reverse, revealing a culturing bead. The large heart-shaped spinel is translucent and highly included, with some surface-reaching inclusions causing slight breaks to the surface on the top and a significant area of loss on the underside. The large old mine-cut diamond is approximately light yellow, I clarity. The irregularly-shaped medium slightly bluish green emerald drop is moderately to heavily included but retains a nice polish with relatively few surface-reaching inclusions. The semi-baroque pearl drop is slightly silvery white, with light rose and green overtones and a satin-like luster. The necklace was recently restrung on wire. The clasp signed JAR PARIS and bearing French assay and workshop marks. According to our research, JAR added the diamonds to the clasp and the pendant loop, but is not the maker of this piece. Pendant measures 5 1/2 inches. Accompanied by GIA report no. 2145692229 stating that the pearl drop is bead cultured, saltwater. The smaller pearls have not been tested for origin.
