Description

Suspending two emerald drops each to fancy baguette diamond connections, supported by a geometric frame millegrain-set with circular-, single-cut and baguette diamonds, emerald pendants can be detached and worn on the pendent earrings sold as lot 720, in place of the pearl pendants.

Emeralds with typical eye visible crystal inclusions, some are reaching the surface, few nicks and abrasions. Well matched in colour. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 6.50 carats, on average G-H colour, VS-SI clarity (one I), gauged and graded in mounting. Please note that the emerald pendants can be detached and worn on the pendent earrings sold as lot 720, in place of the pearl pendants. Safety catch. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use, a few solder marks at the back. In good condition.

Catalogue Note

The emerald drops are thought to have been a gift to Countess Ahlefeldt-Laurvig from the future King of Nepal from his private collection. It was he who encouraged her passion for collecting Oriental artefacts.
