Set with two rectangular step-cut emeralds spaced by baguettes diamonds, size 53, French assay and maker's marks.

Condition

Stamped pt900 for platinum. French assay and maker's marks. By family tradition, the two emeralds came from a jewel purchased by Madame de Lavalade from Van Cleef & Arpels and were remounted as the present ring. According to the Gübelin report the emeralds measure approximately 11.65 x 10.00 x 3.65mm and 12.02 x 9.85 x 4.00mm. Well matched in colour, typical crystal inclusions visible to the unaided eye, minor nicks. Emeralds slightly loose in setting, would benefit from professional attention. Basket with open work scroll decoration. Signs of normal wear to the mount, scratches consistent with wear. In good condition.
