The brooch of floral design set with a circular-cut emerald, brilliant-cut, pear- and marquise-shaped diamonds and baguettes, together with a pair of ear clips set with similar stones, collapsible post fittings, ear clips signed Van Cleef & Arpels and numbered, case.
Condition
Stamped Pt 950 for platinum and 750 for 18 carat gold. Brooch signed VCA on clip fitting and numbered 32772, ear clips signed Van Cleef & Arpels on clip fittings and numbered N.Y. 33438. Emerald on brooch measured at approximately 10.40 x 10.00 mm, depth not measurable due to mounting, emeralds on ear clips measured at approximately 10.00 x 10.05 x 5.55 mm and 9.75 x 9.95 x 4.95 mm and estimated to weigh approximately 2.65 carats and 2.30 carats, all as gauged and estimated in mounting, with typical crystal inclusions visible under close inspection, few nicks, scratches and abrasions. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 13.00 - 14.00 carats, on average of G-H colour and VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in mounting. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition.
