Gem set and diamond demi parure, Van Cleef & Arpels

Comprising: a necklace designed as a series of graduated clusters each set at the centre with a cultured pearl respectively framed with circular-cut rubies, sapphires, emeralds and brilliant-cut diamonds, suspending a detachable pendant similarly set, length approximately 370mm, signed Van Cleef & Arpels and numbered, French assay and maker's marks, fitted case, Van Cleef & Arpels; and a pair of ear clips en suite, accompanied by additional pendant and brooch fittings, pouch, Van Cleef & Arpels.

French assay marks for gold and stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Signed Van Cleef & Arpels with maker's marks and numbered 83979. Round cultured pearls measuring approximately 13.5 mm to 7.9mm, fair to good lustres, light to strong rosé and green overtones. Cultured pearl drop measuring approximately 16.8mm in length, gauged in mount. Rubies dark purplish red, emeralds light green, all well matched in colour. Sapphires medium to dark blue. All showing typical inclusions mostly only visible under magnification, some surface reaching fissures. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 16.50 carats, estimated colour G-I, estimated clarity VS-SI. The necklace may be worn without the central cluster and pendant, length approximately 375mm. Larger cluster may be worn as a brooch or pendant, additional brooch fitting signed VCA and numbered 83979. Drop detachable from the central cluster. Ear clips strong with additional padding. Scratches to mount consistent with wear. In good condition.
