Description

  • emerald, diamond, silver and gold
Set at the centre with a pear-shaped emerald, within a foliate border highlighted with rose diamonds, later pendant fitting.

Condition

Mounted in silver and gold. Pear-shaped emerald measuring approximately 18.30 x 14.00 x 8.40 mm, calculated to weigh approximately 11.40 carats, medium green, typical inclusions visible to the naked eye, surface reaching cavities visible with magnification. For further information on the emerald, please refer to the Gübelin report. Pendant probably originally part of a larger jewel, traces of lead solder, repairs and alterations, later pendant loop. One leaf a little loose could benefit from attention by a professional jeweller. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition.
