Sorti en 1976, Je t'aime moi non plus, "Ballade de Johnny-Jane" est le premier film de Serge Gainsbourg en tant que réalisateur.
Dans ce film où Jane Birkin joue le role de Johnny-Jane, jeune femme androgyne prête à tout par l'amour, Gainsbourg confia un petit rôle de figurant à Andrew Birkin où il apparaissait au guidon d'une mobilette. La scène fut coupée au montage mais Serge Gainsbourg ne manqua pas de dédicacer la pochette de la bande originale du film à son beau-frère motocycliste amateur.
