Catalogue Note
Valentine Hugo et Paul Eluard furent amants dans un premier temps, juste après le divorce d'Eluard et Gala. En 1930, c'est avec André Breton qu'elle aura une liaison. Elle occupa toujours une place à part dans la vie d'Eluard, de confidente et d'amie. Elle illustra plusieurs de ses livres.
