Catalogue Note
Famed Brazilian landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx was also a talented painter. This early example of his work was executed shortly after his return from studying in Germany. A colored pencil study for this painting was recently exhibited in Roberto Burle Marx- Cenas at the Caixa Cultural Fortaleza, September 12th – October 14th, 2012.
