Condition

This early work is painted on a composite board and despite this delicate and unusual support, the paint layer is in lovely condition. There are a few very thin cracks, one in the upper middle left, one in the lower middle left and in the shadow in the lower left. There are also faint cracks to the panel in the upper left, as well as in the upper and center right. The condition is extremely good. This period of Bravo's features an extremely focused technique, which is all very clearly evident in this work. The varnish is slightly soft and uneven but the work is in lovely condition. There is frame abrasion on the left edge that has been addressed. (This condition report has been provided courtesy of Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.)
