Condition

The canvas is unlined and well-stretched. Craquelure is visible throughout. Brown stains, not inherent to the work, are visible throughout the work. Scuff marks are present along the edges of the canvas. Paint loss is present throughout the work. More specifically, the paint loss is most visible in the center quadrant (located approximately 12-inches from the right edge). Additionally, a four-inch line of paint loss is present in the upper left quadrant. Black scratches, approximately four-inches and five-inches in length respectively, are present in the lower quadrants. Under ultraviolet inspection, areas fluoresce but this is more than likely an inherent characteristic of the pigment used by the artist. Overall, this work is in generally good condition.
