The sautoir strung with polished emerald beads suspending two detachable tassels, the back accented with two cultured pearls and a clasp set with similar gems, length approximately 835mm, the tassels are a later addition, the bracelet composed of two rows of emeralds and a central line of cultured pearls and emeralds, length approximately 185mm, clasp with French assay and maker's marks for RenĂ© Boivin.

Condition

This lot is offered without a reserve. Bracelet stamped with French assay marks for gold and platinum and maker's marks for René Boivin. Light green emeralds with eye visible typical inclusions, some surface reaching, some cavities and chips, scratches, nicks and abrasions. One stone on the tassel is faceted. Tassel separates in two and can be placed elsewhere on the necklace. Diamond on bracelet clasp bright and lively. Accompanied by Gem Tech Lab report no. 12-B-2276, stating that the emeralds are of natural origin, with some indications of foreign substance and further stating that the pearls were found to be cultured, saltwater. Cultured pearls on the necklace with a silvery white body colour, cultured pearls on the bracelet with a creamy bodycolour, few blemishes and pitting, good lustre. Clasps secure. Signs of normal to extensive wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition.
