The case of upright oval section form, the surface later decorated with translucent midnight blue guilloché enamel, with engine-turned waves and engraved ribbon-hung floral wreaths, the lid and base with chased leaf borders, the rim mount set with seed pearls, to a crystal thumb piece, signed Fabergé and numbered, workmaster's initials  for Henrik Wigström and Russian assay marks.

Condition

This lot is offered without a reserve. Stamped 56 Zolotnik. Signed Fabergé, workmaster's initials for Henrik Wigström, stamps for St Petersburg and 88 standards, scratched inventory number 16159 on inside. The object has been re-enamelled; scratches and little areas of loss, a larger loss below the rim mount approx. 9mm wide. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition.
