Each suspending on a drop-shaped emerald weighing approximately 30.26 and 30.09 carats, surmounted by a floral motif set with tapered baguette and brilliant-cut diamonds altogether weighing approximately 10.00 carats, mounted in platinum, signed and numbered NY 29078.

Condition

Colour and Clarity: According to AGL report, the emerald drops are natural, of Colombian origin, with indications of faint clarity enhancement. Appendix states that these emeralds represent the top quality stones from Colombia, referred to as "old-mine" emeralds originated from the Muzo mining district. Please refer to the report and appendix for details. In our opinion, the emeralds are matching, of bright, strong green colour, moderately included to naked eyes. Upon 10x loupe, there are natural crystal and fingerprint inclusions with some surface-reaching pits. Diamonds are E to F colours, VS clarity. Signed and numbered to the ear clips. Condition: Vintage platinum mounts, signs of normal wear, overall in very good condition.

Prospective purchasers are reminded that, unless the catalogue description specifically states that a stone is natural, we have assumed that some form of treatment may have been used and that such treatment may not be permanent. Our presale estimates reflect this assumption.

Catalogue Note

Accompanied by AGL report numbered CS 50395 A and B, dated 10 July 2012, stating that the emeralds are natural, of Colombian origin, with faint indication of clarity enhancement. Further accompanied by appendix stating that "These emeralds have received the highest origin determination issued by AGL: Classic Colombia. Both emeralds exhibit an intense and saturated green colour that is representative of top-quality stones from this auspicious source. Emeralds of such color and quality are commonly referred to as "old-mine" emeralds and are considered to have originated from the Muzo mining district in Western flank of the Cordillera Oriental."
