Description

  • sapphire,diamond,platinum
Centring on an oval sapphire weighing 8.00 carats, flanked by oval diamonds weighing 1.52 and 1.51 carats, mounted in platinum. Ring size: 6ΒΌ

Condition

Colour and Clarity: According to both SSEF and GRS report, the oval sapphire is natural, of Kashmir origin, with no indications of heating. Two oval diamonds on side, according to GIA reports, are E and F colours, VVS1 and VS2 clarity respectively. Please refer to the reports for details. In our opinion, the sapphire is of deep, strong velvety blue colour, very clean to naked eyes. Upon 10x loupe, there is a smal fingerprint under a prong and a crystal inclusion on the other side, a few nicks along the facet junctions, but generally not seen to naked eyes. Condition: Platinum ring mount, in very good condition.

Prospective buyers should inspect each lot to satisfy themselves as to condition and must understand that any statement made by Sotheby's is merely a subjective qualified opinion. Prospective purchasers are reminded that, unless the catalogue description specifically states that a stone is natural, we have assumed that some form of treatment may have been used and that such treatment may not be permanent.
