Description
- platinum, emerald, diamond
Centring on a rectangular modified step-cut emerald weighing 13.78 carats, flanked by shield-shaped and tapered baguette diamonds, mounted in platinum. Ring size: 5¾
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to both AGL and SSEF reports, the emerald is natural, of Colombian origin, with no indications of clarity enhancement. Both have specical appendix, stating that this emerald comes from the most famed Muzo mining area, representing a particularly fine example of Colombian emerald. Please refer to the report and appendix for details. In our opinion, the emerald is of strong green colour, eye clean. Upon 10x loupe, there are only a few minor natural inclusions close to a corner, overall quite clean. Diamonds on the shank are about E to F colours, VS clarity.
Condition: Platinum ring mount, in very good condition.

Catalogue Note
Accompanied by SSEF and AGL reports numbered 64088 and CS 50114 respectively, dated 17 July and 14 June 2012 respectively, stating that the 13.78 carat emerald is natural, of Colombian origin, with no indications of clarity enhancement. Further accompanied by SSEF and AGL appendix letter, stating that the gemstone exhibits an attractive bright green colour and is reminiscent of high-quality emeralds from the Muzo mining area. Colombian emeralds of this size and quality is rare and exceptional. This combination of quality factors, large size, absence of enhancement and origin determination represents a particularly fine example of a Colombian emerald.
