Description

  • Van Cleef & Arpels
  • emerald,diamond,platinum
Of floral motif design, centring on a cabochon emerald weighing approximately 3.50 carats, the petals set with brilliant-cut diamonds together weighing approximately 5.00 carats, highlighted to the leaves by calibré-cut emeralds, mounted in platinum, signed and numbered NY51552.

Condition

Colour and Clarity: In our opinion, the cabochon emerald is of intense green colour, moderately included to naked eyes. Upon 10x loupe, there are some surface pits and minor fissures, not noticeable to naked eyes. Other calibrè-cut emeralds are of medium green colour, eye clean. Diamonds are about E to F colours, VS to SI clarity. Signed and numbered to the back. Condition: Vintage brooch, overall in very good condition.

Since we are not professional conservators or restorers, we urge you to consult with a restorer or conservator of your choice who will be better able to provide a detailed, professional report. Prospective buyers should inspect each lot to satisfy themselves as to condition and must understand that any statement made by Sotheby's is merely a subjective qualified opinion.
