The brooch set with ten pear-shaped sapphires together weighing approximately 15.00 carats, decorated by brilliant-cut diamonds together weighing approximately 9.00 carats, mounted in 18 karat white gold; and a matching ring, the sapphires and diamonds together weighing approximately 6.00 and 2.30 carats respectively, mounted in platinum. Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to two gem reports, all sapphires on both the ring and brooch are natural, with no indication of treatment. Please refer to the reports for details. In our opinion, the sapphires are slightly deep, strong blue colour, eye clean. Upon 10x loupe, sapphires on the brooch generally have better clarity that they have moderate surface abrasions along the facets. Other sapphires on the ring have fingerprints and crystal inclusions, and a few are surface-reaching. Diamonds, on general, are about F to G colours, VVS to VS clarity.
Condition: Vintage brooch and ring, signs of wear, in particular to the ring shank, otherwise in good condition.
