Condition
The canvas is not lined. There is an uneven layer of varnish which prevents the UV light from fully penetrating and causes some areas to fluoresce unevenly. UV examination does reveal an intermittent line of retouching along the upper edge, and some further spots to the sky. There is a faint stretcher mark along the left edge and some some fine lines of craquelure to the trees on the right. Otherwise, this work is in overall good condition.
Colours: Overall fairly accurate in the printed catalogue.
