Condition
The sheet is in generally good condition aside from a crease across the upper left corner and some very minor bumping and minor tears along the edges, especially the lower edge. The sheet appears to have been folded at one time, and there are accompanying creases across the sheet. Not examined out of the frame.

This is a preparatory drawing for a ceramic relief titled Musical Instrument No. 1 (Musée du Centre Pompidou, no. AM 1974-835). It is an original design for the five stone reliefs commissioned by Dr. Barnes for the façade of the Barnes Foundation, Merion.
