The canvas is unlined. The picture surface is in generally good condition aside from some minor surface dirt. There are some areas of heavily applied impasto in the lower right quadrant that appear to have lifted from the canvas but are stable. There is a tear in the canvas in the sheet of paper depicted below the two apples that has been repaired; the reverse of the canvas has been secured with a piece of tape. Under UV: there are no apparent inpaints visible.
