Condition

The canvas is unlined and somewhat slack in the stretcher. The picture surface is in good condition aside from an uneven, drippy varnish that has turned yellow-brown and some craquelure scattered throughout the sky. Under UV: it appears that the artist retouched areas of the work after the varnish was applied, and these areas fluoreces under UV. There also appears to be some inpainting in the lake in the middle of the picture plane.
