Condition
The canvas has not been lined. There are thin lines of stable cracking in a couple places though the impasto has been well preserved. Under UV light: certain pigments fluoresce and some stroked of retouching are visible to extreme top and right edge, likely to address prior frame abrasion. There is a one inch stroke of inpainting visible two inches to the right of the sail as well as a spot a quarter-inch in diameter within the sea toward the lower-left, and a one inch by one and a half inch area along extreme bottom center edge. The work is otherwise in very good condition.
