Condition

Executed on a star printed cream wove paper, not laid down, held in place by an inner black frame at all extreme edges. The sheet has been folded and creased by the artist, resulting in some surface variations and medium rubbing in areas. There is some minor time staining to the sheet with a few spots of foxing. Otherwise, this work is in overall very good condition. Colours: Overall fairly accurate in the printed catalogue.

Catalogue Note

'I need a starting point, even if it's only a grain of dust or a flash of light. This shape generates a series of things, one thing giving birth to another thing. In this way, a bit of thread can set off a world. I arrive at a world starting with something apparently dead' Joán Miró
