Catalogue Note

With a fitted presentation box and outer packaging.

Ref. 5250G was the first 'Advanced Research' model produced by Patek Philippe. Released in 2005 in 100 examples, this piece was only presented to Patek Philippe's most prestigious clients and is today a highly sought-after collector's piece.

This model was the first Patek Philippe watch to be fitted with the technologically advanced patented Silinvar escape wheel. Originally known for its application to information technology, Silinvar is a semiconductor that is significantly lighter than steel, the material traditionally used. It transmits energy more efficiently and can be shaped more accurately, making it an ideal material for use in watchmaking.
